Terms of Service

Agreeing to These Terms
quickcapture.tools (the “Site”) is an independent website. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean the people who run quickcapture.tools. These Terms of Service explain the rules for using the Site. By browsing the Site, submitting an app, offering a deal, or signing up for our emails, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Site.
Our Privacy policy explains what information we collect and how we use it. It is part of these terms.
What the Site Is
The Site is an independent directory and blog about quick capture and note-taking apps for iPhone, iPad and Mac. It helps you compare apps and find one that fits how you work. It is not an app store. Apps are published, sold and supported by their own developers, and you get them from the App Store or the developer’s website.
Listings and Accuracy
We build listings from the App Store and from developers’ own websites, and we mark features based on what those sources confirm. We work to keep this information right, but apps change often. Features, ratings, availability and other details may be out of date or incomplete, so please check with the developer or the App Store before you rely on them.
A listing is not an endorsement, and we don’t guarantee any app. Your use of an app is between you and its developer, under their terms. App Store reviews shown on app pages are written by App Store users, not by us, and belong to them.
Submitting an App
When you submit an app, you confirm that you are its developer or have permission to submit it, and that what you send us is accurate.
We review every submission against our listing criteria. We decide what is listed, and we may edit, decline or remove any listing at any time. Submitting an app does not guarantee that it will be listed, or listed by a certain time.
By submitting an app, you allow us to show its name, icon, screenshots, description, ratings and other public details from the App Store and your website on the Site, in our newsletter and when we share the Site. These names, logos and images stay yours. If you want your listing changed or removed, email us.
Founder Deals and Badges
Developers of listed apps can offer deals to our readers. A deal is offered by the developer, not by us. We are not a party to any purchase you make, and the developer is responsible for honoring the deal and for their product. We review deals before they go live and may decline or remove a deal at any time.
If you offer a deal, you confirm that you own the app or are authorized to offer the deal, and that its details are accurate.
Some features, like a verified badge or a featured spot, ask you to place our badge on your website. You may use our badge only as we provide it, to link to your app’s page on the Site. We may check that the badge is still on your site, and if it’s gone, we may remove the benefits that come with it.
Featured Listings
We offer paid listing options, including featured listings that give an app extra visibility on the Site for a set time. We agree the details with you by email before you pay, and we only ask you to pay once we have approved your app. We may decline any featured listing that isn’t a good fit for our readers.
Refunds
We give refunds only for duplicate payments. All other sales of listings and featured listings are final. If you have any questions before you buy, please email us first at [email protected].
Newsletter and Deal Alerts
If you sign up for our newsletter or deal alerts, we will email you about new tools in the directory, founder deals, and tips. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in each email.
Writing Tools on the Site
Some pages include a writing box for brain dumps and prompts. What you type there is saved only in your browser on your device. It is not sent to us, so we can’t see it or recover it. Clearing your browser data or pressing Clear removes it.
Acceptable Use
Please use the Site in good faith. Don’t send spam, fake or automated submissions, or submit apps or deals you have no right to submit. Don’t pretend to be a developer or anyone else. Don’t try to get around our spam and security checks or reach parts of the Site that aren’t public. Don’t attack the Site, overload it, or scrape it in a way that slows it down for others. And don’t use the Site to share anything unlawful, misleading or harmful.
Our Content
The Site’s design, writing, blog posts and the way we organize and compare apps belong to the people who run quickcapture.tools. You’re welcome to link to any page. Please don’t copy large parts of the Site or republish it as your own.
Third-Party Links and Trademarks
The Site links to the App Store and to developer websites. We don’t control those sites and are not responsible for their content, products or practices. Some links tell the other site that your visit came from quickcapture.tools.
App names, icons and trademarks belong to their owners. Apple, the Apple logo, App Store, iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch are trademarks of Apple Inc. The Site is not affiliated with or endorsed by Apple.
Disclaimers
We provide the Site “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that the Site will always be available, free of errors, or that its information is complete or current.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss that comes from using an app listed on the Site, a deal offered by a developer, or a site we link to. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the law that can’t be limited.
Ending Access
You can stop using the Site at any time. We may remove listings, deals or submissions, or block access to the Site, if someone breaks these terms or puts the Site or its readers at risk.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If you keep using the Site after that, the updated terms apply.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute about them or the Site will be handled by the courts of India. This doesn’t limit any consumer protection rights you have under your own local law that can’t be given up.
